The NSRB (formerly the NERCE Small Molecule Screening Core Laboratory) supports biodefense-related research directed towards the identification of small molecules that enhance our understanding of the basic biology of pathogens of biodefense or emerging infectious disease interest, and development of new therapeutic agents against these pathogens. The NSRB has funding to provide nationwide capability for small molecule screening, and the facility’s equipment, compound collections, and expertise are available to all U.S. investigators interested in conducting screens involving NIAID Priority Pathogens.
