Citation of NERCE support
To maintain funding and meet NIH reporting obligations, NERCE must be cited in all publications that describe experiments that were funded by NERCE or supported through its core laboratories and resources. NERCE support can be adequately cited by simply including the NERCE grant number (U54 AI057159) in the acknowledgments section of the manuscript. In addition, reprints of all publications containing this acknowledgment should be provided to NERCE.
NIH Public Access Policy
The NIH requires that any peer-reviewed publication with results arising from direct NIH funding be deposited in PubMed Central (PMC) upon acceptance for publication. Since NERCE is funded by NIAID, this policy applies to any publication describing work supported by NERCE through direct funding or via its core laboratories and resources. Manuscripts must be deposited in PMC even if the full text is available on a public website, and even if the funded principal investigator is not an author. In addition, all applications, proposals, and progress reports submitted to the NIH must include the PMC reference number (PMCID) when citing applicable papers. An overview of the NIH public access policy is available at http://publicaccess.nih.gov/.
