Fifth Annual NERCE Retreat

The 5th Annual NERCE Retreat will include lectures by outstanding scientists and a poster session, with emphasis on the areas of microbial pathogenesis, therapeutics, vaccines, diagnostics, immunology & host response, high-throughput techniques, and genomics & proteomics. The program will begin at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 22nd, and will conclude at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 23rd.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: NERCE strongly encourages abstract submissions for both poster sessions and oral presentations.  The Call for Abstracts may be downloaded here.  The deadline for receipt of abstracts will be October 22, 2009.

CONFIRMATION OF ATTENDANCE AND LOGISTICS: The Confirmation of Attendance form and a Logistics sheet should be downloaded if you wish to attend.  Your Confirmation of Attendance form should be returned to Marie Scurti  via email (marie_scurti@hms.harvard.edu) or fax: 617-525-0080, no later than October 22, 2009. Please note that registration and hotel accommodations are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so interested persons are strongly encourages to return Confirmation forms as soon as possible to ensure a place at the retreat. Participants should arrange their hotel accommodations directly with the Hotel Viking. Please note that the cutoff date for reserving a room at the Hotel Viking is October 22, 2009.

The NERCE retreat will be an outstanding opportunity to exchange scientific ideas and information, as well as to meet colleagues from the New England region who have an interest in the area of biodefense and emerging infectious diseases research.  We hope you will join us and look forward to seeing you in November.
